Thought motion was just the place you ended up raving till the early hours? Well Red Bull turned that on its head this month with the final heat of the Red Bull street style.

An innovative competition pitting the best freestylers in the country against each other in the hope of making it to Cape Town for the world final. The rules are simple; 3 minutes, 2 competitors, 1 ball. Competitors travelled from as far away as Scotland to have the opportunity to showcase their freestyle skills. Each where judged on control, creativity, style and of course co-ordination, and three men were set by Red Bull with the unenviable task of separating the winners from the losers.

First off we had “Nam The Man”, one of the worlds greatest and most visually dynamic football freestylers. With over 5 years professional experience; Nam is one of the most highly sought after and experienced Freestylers in the game. With these kind of credentials he was the perfect man to judge their creative flair. A top football freestyler needs more than great ball control, but also the ability to seamlessly combine moves with style, to whatever track the DJ chose to spin. As a top level b-boy and freestyler who has delivered some of the top bboying competitions around the country Flowrex was able to bring these unique skills to the judging panel. Finally the man himself, Soccer AM’s Rocket completed this impressive threesome with his skills being put to use assessing each of the competitors control.

After an evenings intense competition Andrew Henderson finally came out on top, impressing the judges with his all round ability and skill topped with the fact he managed to achieve all this while battling cramp through the latter stages.
With the largest contingent of competitors, Bristol shone out as a hot bed of football talent, and this came across throughout the day.
