Is Your Home Making You Sick?

Sounds ridiculous but in some European countries the idea of negative Earth Energies or Geopathic Stress as it's often called is taken so seriously that you cant build a new home without first ensuring the site isn't affected. Some people believe that these radiating earth energies are a contributing factor in many long term illnesses including M.E. and even Cancer.

So what is geopathic stress? The Earth is criss-crossed by naturally occuring energy lines similar to the meridians in the human body described in Chinese medicine. When undistorted these earth energy lines are benefical to human health. Unfortunately they can be disrupted by a number of factors like geological faults, underground water or human excavations or constructions. Once disrupted their energy changes and can become very disruptive to our own energy field - especially if we sleep over them. Geopathic stress suppresses the immune function, shutting down the body's natural defence system.

About 10 years or so ago I woke up in a cold sweat. My hands were like claws and my fingers just wouldn't open. The symptoms continued and the most likely diagnosis the Doctor could give was Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was only 30 years old and the long term prognosis was pretty terrible. I had to give up my job and to be honest I was terrified.

I knew enough about the effects of steroids to know I didn't want to go down the drug therapy route but what were the alternatives? A chance conversation in a shop led me to a therapist who worked with Energy Medicine to help people with long term health problems. He had given up a successful career as a Cardiologist to work in this field which he was convinced was the future of health. After testing me on an amazing array of equipment (much of which was developed by Russian Scientists to keep the cosmonauts on the Mir Space station healthy) he informed me that my own health was being compromised by Geopathic Stress. He explained how this was extremely common in the cases he dealt with. He found up to 95% of his clients were affected. If I didn't move away from it or get it 'cleared' he could not help me recover and my health would simply continue to deteriorate.

The answer to 'clearing' it turned out to involve sending a map of the downstairs of my house to a man who could use dowsing to find and fix the geopathic stress. To be honest I almost laughed out loud at the idea but my situation meant it was time to take a leap of faith. I sent off the map and started learning about dowsing. I also moved my bed to another room and had the most peaceful nights sleep in many months.

One day I decided that I would see if I could dowse these harmful energies for myself. Armed with a couple of metal coathangers bent into L-rods off I went. As I asked to locate Geopathic Stress, astonishingly the rods crossed, twice, beneath the very spot where my bed used to be. I did it again and again and each time got the same result. A week or so later the dowser I had sent my map to wrote to me with his findings. There on the map he had drawn two lines - crossing each other in exactly the same place that I had dowsed myself. I was astonished and intrigued in equal measure.

Ten years and a lot of experience later my own symptoms are gone. I now use use a variety of techniques to discover the energetic factors underlying a variety of physical, emotional and psychological symptoms. Harmful earth energies are often a contributing factor but so can the stress created by sensitivity to a variety of energetic sources such as mobile phones, wireless internet or electrical circuits in the home. Even personal relationships can have an energetic effect on our well being. Most importantly I practice a process called Energy Clearing which allow me to 'Clear' their harmful effects.

I also work with a piece of new Russian technology called a GDV (Gas Discharge Visualisation) Camera which allows me and the client to actually see their energy field. Using the GDV camera to take 'before' and 'after' images allows us both to see the effect the Energy Clearing has. I also encourage people to understand how they are constantly affected by unseen energies and how to balance and clear their own energy fields.

I believe that eventually we will completely change our understanding of health and well-being. We will move away from using drugs and surgery to fix symptoms and move instead to understanding how dis-ease arises on an energetic level. Hopefully one day we will all be aware enough to balance our own energy fields and prevent symptoms of dis-ease from developing. Hopefully one day I will put myself out of a job.

I'm currently running a research project to see how the Energy Clearing process helps a number of people that have been diagnosed with M.E.
