The party starts in the Gaydar Men’s Zone where the finest DJs including Nathan Thompson and Ant Nicholls from Kiss FM, New City Sound and Old Markets very own Come to Daddy DJs will be playing dance, 70’s and chart classics.

The Women’s stage focuses on live music with superb female singer songwriters including the acclaimed Lucy Ray and Emily Teague. DJs entertain between the acts and this relaxed, inclusive space is one of the areas to go for top tuneage, chats and chilling.

The main stage is the focal point of Pride Day. Crammed with national and international acts who will astound and entertain in turn(sometimes at the same time!), the main stage guarantees a brilliant time for all.

Headlining is the fabulous chart topping, BRIT Award winning Sonique. Sonique stormed the charts with dance legends S’Express and had her first solo hit with the worldwide number one single ‘Feels So Good’. After battling breast cancer Sonique returned in 2010 with stunning performances at Heaven and London Pride and is back with a capital B.

Le Gateau Chocalat has to be seen and heard to be believed

Also performing on the main stage is the truly astonishing Le Gateau Chocolat, a drag artist with a difference. His incredible baritone has graced events as diverse as Katie Price’s wedding to the Paul O Grady Show to performing at Covent Garden. Le Gateau Chocalat has to be seen and heard to be believed.

O’Hooley and Tidow bring the folk to this stage earlier on Pride Day. Formerly of the Mercury Prize nominated Unthanks Belinda O Hooleys new venture is certain to entertain and enthral.

New music is represented by Nightbus, the wildest all night party pop band to burst out of London this decade. Described as a cross between Calvin Harris and Alphabeat and beloved of Radio 1, T4 and Popjustice Nightbus are set for big things indeed.

Local talent on the main stage includes Bristol’s very own Wilder playing Pride Day before their shows at the legendary Reading and Leeds Festivals, Queers Got Talent winner Amy Evans and finalist Chris James and Sing Out Bristol.

As well as awesome music and performances Pride Day also has a trans tent, youth area hosted by Freedom Youth, food stalls, shopping area and bars.

Pride Day starts at 12 noon with a walk starting outside the Hippodrome to Castle Park, where the festivities begin in earnest at 1.00 p.m. Pride Day finishes at 7.00 p.m. but the partying is certain to continue at the numerous after-parties across the City.

Pride Line-up Announced for Bristol

Pride Day is the culmination of a week of amazing cultural events including literature, comedy, live music and film. A massive free festival across the whole of Castle Park in Central Bristol, Pride Day will rock Bristol to its foundations!
